5. Eligibility Requirements | 申请资格
Nationality | 国籍要求
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary passport and comply with the Ministry of Education’s Document No. 12 [2020].
申请人须为持有效外国普通护照的非中国籍公民，并符合教育部教外函〔2020〕12号文件规定。
Health and Conduct | 健康与品行要求
Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, friendly toward China, with no history of drug abuse and no criminal record.
申请人须身心健康、对华友好，无吸毒史、无犯罪记录。
Master’s Applicants | 硕士申请人
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, have excellent academic performance, and be no older than 35.
申请人须具有学士学位或同等学历，学习成绩优秀，年龄不超过35周岁。
Doctoral Applicants | 博士申请人
Applicants must hold a master’s degree or equivalent qualification, have excellent academic performance, and be no older than 40.
申请人须具有硕士学位或同等学历，学习成绩优秀，年龄不超过40周岁。

Step 1 — Complete the CSC Application | 第一步——完成CSC申请
Submit an online application through the Chinese Government Scholarship portal.

Step 2 — Complete the University Application After Preliminary Review | 第二步——通过初审后完成学校申请
Applicants who pass the preliminary review must complete the university application after receiving an email notification.
通过学校初审的申请人，须在收到电子邮件通知后完成学校申请。

7. Required Documents | 申请材料
1. Ordinary Passport | 普通护照
Submit the passport’s personal information page. The passport must remain valid beyond 28 February 2028.
提交普通护照个人信息页，护照有效期须晚于2028年2月28日。
2. Notarised Academic Qualifications | 经公证的学历证明
Submit notarised academic qualification documents from the undergraduate level onwards.
提交自本科阶段起的经公证学历证明。
Applicants currently studying must provide an official certificate of expected graduation or student status issued by their institution.
在校申请人须提供就读学校出具的预计毕业证明或在学证明。
Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must include notarised Chinese or English translations.
非中文或英文材料须附经公证的中文或英文译本。
3. Academic Transcripts | 学习成绩单
Submit transcripts from the undergraduate level onwards, issued and stamped by the university’s academic affairs office, graduate school, or relevant student administration department.
提交自本科阶段起的成绩单，由就读学校教务处、研究生院或相关学生管理部门出具并盖章。
Non-Chinese or non-English documents must include notarised Chinese or English translations.
非中文或英文材料须附经公证的中文或英文译本。
4. Language Proficiency Certificates | 语言能力证明
Submit valid language certificates meeting the selected programme’s specific requirements.
提交有效期内、符合所申请专业具体要求的语言能力证明。
Where the catalogue requires both HSK and another language qualification, both must be provided.
专业目录同时要求HSK及其他语言成绩的，须同时提交相应证明。
5. Supervisor Acceptance Letter | 导师接收函
All applicants must provide a supervisor acceptance letter.
申请人须提供导师接收函。
6. Study Plan | 来华学习计划
Submit a study plan in Chinese or English containing more than 1,000 Chinese characters or English words.
提交中文或英文学习计划，中文超过1000字，英文超过1000词。
The supplied Chinese guide requires the intended supervisor’s signature, while its English version specifically mentions this requirement for doctoral applicants. Obtain the intended supervisor’s signature and confirm any degree-specific requirements with the university.
所提供简章的中文版本要求拟接收导师签字，英文版本则明确提及博士申请人的导师签字要求。请取得拟接收导师签字，并向学校确认对应学位层次的具体要求。
7. Two Recommendation Letters | 两封推荐信
Submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English.
提交两名教授或副教授出具的推荐信，须以中文或英文书写。
The letters should address the applicant’s study objectives, comprehensive abilities, future development, and relevant cooperation between supervisors or exchanges between institutions.
推荐信应重点介绍申请人来华学习目标、综合能力、未来发展，以及相关中外导师合作或校际交流情况。
8. Art or Design Portfolio | 个人作品
Applicants for art, design, or related programmes may upload their own works, such as videos or paintings, under “Example of Art/Other Supporting Documents” in the application system.
申请艺术、设计等相关专业者，可通过申请系统“作品/其他支撑材料”栏目上传影像、绘画等个人作品。
9. Guardianship Documents | 监护人法律文件
Applicants under 18 must submit valid legal documents relating to their legal guardian in China.
未满18周岁的申请人须提交在华法定监护人的相关有效法律文件。
10. Foreigner Physical Examination Form | 外国人体格检查表
Complete all examination items listed in the form. Results are valid for six months.
须完成体检表所列全部检查项目，体检结果有效期为六个月。
Incomplete forms, or forms without the applicant’s photograph, a stamp across the photograph, the physician’s signature, or the hospital’s official stamp, are invalid.
缺项、未贴本人照片、照片未盖骑缝章，或缺少医师签字及医院盖章的体检表无效。
11. Non-Criminal Record Certificate | 无犯罪记录证明
Submit a valid non-criminal record certificate issued by the local public security authority, normally within six months before submitting the application.
提交所在地公安机关出具的有效无犯罪记录证明，通常应为提交申请之日前六个月以内出具的文件。
8. Application Deadline | 申请截止时间

Complete the CSC application by the deadline and follow the university’s email instructions for subsequent procedures.
